Weis Market's Weekly Budget Meal

Bargain Meal of the Week

Big hams, little hams, spiraled hams, hams any way ya want them!

This meal will be holiday style and not so much budget. Happy Easter!

5lbs. Smithfield Skank Portion- 3.95
3lbs. Yams- 2.37
2 cans cut green beans 1.00
2 cans cream mushroom 1.00
1 pkg. holsum rolls 2.00
Total 10.32

Ok with the ham you are going to want to put it in a roaster with water in the bottom, I'd say about 2 inches. And cover the ham and roaster with foil. For about 20 mins. a pound. After it cooks, make a paste of apply juice, honey, and brown sugar. Rub it all over the outside of the ham, and bake about 10 mins. more without the foil, to make a glaze. YUM!

When selecting yams, get the long skinny ones, please believe me on this one, they are so much easier to slice than the thick ones. Peel them and slice them. Meanwhile melt a stick of butter in a deep frying pan then add about a cup of brown sugar to the butter and spread out your sliced potatoes. Put a lid on them and cook them on med. heat. Make sure you keep any eye on them because they will caramelize and burn.

Lastly you want to make some easy green bean casserole. In a casserole dish mix 2 cans of cream of mushroom with one can of milk. Mix in your drained green beans. Sprinkle with pepper and bake on 350* until hot and bubbly.. about 20-25 mins.

With the rolls, you know. Separate them, but them in a pretty basket or bowl, put on the table with some softened butter.

Enjoy! Happy Easter. Make some different colors of jello for a cheap dessert!
