So I have been super busy, lots of stuff happened this past week and a few days. Tuesday the 27th we went out for lunch since we were all suffering from cabin fever. On our way home we got into a minor car accident which was our fault. Chris was paying attention to what Anthony was saying and ran a red light. We hit a jeep and hardly did any damage and didn't file a police report since we were avoiding a fine. The guy we hit didn't file a report either so we thought we were out of the woods. Yeah right, now for some reason the repairs to his car were less than 300 but then he decided that even though he could continue his shopping and drive him, that his jeep needed towed to the garage for repairs (mostly paint smears), and his fender needed pounded out. We offered to tow him to begin with since we have a trailer in the family we could use to haul. Then of course the labor is crazy at the shop, and he needed a rental car. We had state min. coverage for the time being because of Chris' lay off... so now we're in danger of being taken to court for the remaining balance..whatever it is. My nerves are on end. I only had 3k to work with finding a car, and since it is tax time everyone is spending their refunds on cars, making it hard to find something. Chris isn't an aggressive man, he's no confrontational at all, and its hard to car shop with someone who will not ask for what they want. I do love him, I am just very stressed out since we were getting up every morning and going car hunting all over the place, and using my MIL's car. We did get blessed to find a 2002 ford taurus and in great shape, just needs some sanding to the paint and redone. I don't care about that as long as the engine is running good. So thankfully that stress is over, and I sucessfully found us a car in a week. I am drained.
I did get some of my January goals done, but the eating out one is right out the damn window. :( Uggg... I am so very thankful that Anthony is ok, as is Chris. I did hurt my knee and hit my head but I seem to be better now. I am thankful God was watching us, we hit a jeep not a coal truck, and luckily neither of us were going over 40. Sometimes it is so hard to be thankful on the dark days. I am thankful for the supportive family we do have, and I am trying to not be angry at the ones who were not, but I guess being angry isn't going to get me anywhere.
A short menu plan--
Thursday- H. Helper, rolls, and corn
Friday- pork roast, potatoes, lo corn gravy
Saturday- Chicken stir fry
Sunday-ham, roasted taters, stuffing and green beans
Monday- Sloppy Jo, chips and dip, or fries.
